How can I be sure my points are actually going to the philanthropy I have chosen?

Once your points have been redeemed for a donation, you'll see the redemption in My Wallet in the app marked as "Donated." You'll also receive a confirmation email that your points have been converted into a donation delivered to the non-profit of your choice. Please reference the terms and conditions displayed for each donation for further details.
